Section 06

Materials & Currencies

Mithril, Wish Sigils, Fire Crystals, Chief Gear and Charms — what each one is for, and when it's too early to care.

The rule for all of them Most special currencies are gated behind a chain of prerequisites. Before you chase any material, check whether you can actually spend it. The most common late-game mistake is grinding a currency whose unlock is still months away.

Mithril

Endgame only. One use, long prerequisite chain, and worth knowing about mainly so you don't waste effort chasing it early.

Mithril has exactly one purpose: empowering Legendary Hero Gear. It does nothing else in the game.

The chain before Mithril does anything

  1. Take a Mythic Hero Gear piece to enhancement level 100 and Mastery Forging level 10.
  2. Sacrifice two other Mythic Gear pieces to ascend it to Legendary (red). Type doesn't matter — spare pieces gathering dust finally have a purpose.
  3. Push the Legendary piece to level 19 and Mastery Forging 11.
  4. Only now can Mithril be applied.
Irreversible Legendary gear cannot be reforged. Choose the piece you want as a permanent cornerstone before you ascend.

Total to max: 150 Mithril and 33 Mythic gear pieces, on top of everything spent getting there.

Getting Mithril free

The Arena Shop is the free-to-play source: 3 Mithril per season at 10,000 Arena Coins each. That's another reason the ten daily Arena challenges matter — they're feeding two bottlenecks at once. Kasia's Wish House also stocks it, and it's the top-priority buy there.

If you're not there yet Bank it and forget it. Getting one gear piece to Mythic 100 / Mastery 10 is a long project, and Mithril will still be sitting there when you arrive. Don't plan around it and don't let it distract from Fire Crystals.

Wish Sigils & the Wish Station

New with the Fire Crystal Age. Free, entirely passive, and easy to ignore for months without realising you're losing daily rewards.

When your Furnace reaches Fire Crystal Lv. 1, the old Suggestion Box automatically becomes the Wish Station. Survivors post wishes for better housing, food, healthcare, work and entertainment. As your Furnace level rises and prerequisite Wishes are completed, more Wishes unlock.

How the loop works

  1. Complete Wishes at the Wish Station → earn Wish Sigils.
  2. Spend Sigils in the Wish Shop → exclusive construction materials.
  3. Build entertainment facilities — 9 of them, added gradually.
  4. Each completed facility produces daily rewards at random: Chief Gear, Chief Charm materials, pet development materials, Expert development materials, and Hero Gear.
Why this matters more than it looks Those facilities pay out Chief Charm and Chief Gear materials daily, forever, for free. Those are exactly the materials that bottleneck mid-game accounts. And raising your Fire Crystal Furnace level increases the daily output — so it compounds with progression you're already doing.

All construction materials can be collected free through normal daily play — there's no payment requirement. The only cost is remembering to open it.

Fire Crystals & Shards

Two different things that people routinely confuse.

CurrencyUsed forWarning
Fire CrystalsUpgrading the Furnace and other buildings past level 30 — Embassy, Command Center, Infirmary, and the three troop camps. Also troop tier upgrades.Don't convert them all to shards. The War Academy needs crystals to raise its own level.
Fire Crystal ShardsWar Academy Helios research only — the T11 troop path. Roughly 13,400 per troop line.Useless if your War Academy is too low to spend them. Do one troop line at a time.
Refined Fire CrystalsLater-stage Fire Crystal progression. Produced by the Crystal Laboratory.Check the Crystal Lab daily — it's on the new Daily tab.
The highest-value crystal spend Raising a troop camp's Fire Crystal level upgrades every troop you already own — automatically, no retraining, no per-unit cost. Most players chase Furnace levels and overlook this entirely.

Chief Gear & Chief Charms

Six pieces, three pairs. The pairing is by row, not column — this is the single most misunderstood layout in the game.

PairFeeds
Cap + WatchLancer Lethality & Health
Coat + PantsInfantry Lethality & Health
Ring + CaneMarksman Lethality & Health

A charm in the left piece and the right piece of the same row do the same thing. Left versus right is meaningless — tap a piece to confirm the labels on your own build.

Gear versus charms

Gear gives Attack and Defense. Charms give Lethality and Health. They stack on the same piece and run on completely separate materials — gear on Hardened Alloy, Polishing Solution and Design Plans; charms on Guides, Designs and Jewel Secrets. They don't compete, so push both.

Damage is Attack × Lethality. The game hands out plenty of Attack through research, heroes and buildings, but very little Lethality — which is why charms often give more combat power per material than gear does.

Priorities

State-gated caps Charm levels 17 and 18 arrive only once your state unlocks Gen 8 heroes. Legendary T6 Chief Gear needs Gen 6. Charm Secrets in the Dragonborn's Truck are restricted to FC8+ states. You can't outrun your server.

Wish shops & pack currencies

Kasia's Wish House

Spend Wish Vouchers on a prize board — gems, Fire Crystals, Essence Stones, Lucky Hero Gear Chests, occasionally Dream Marks. Every 100 wishes triggers a Sincere Wish that guarantees Dream Marks, which are the currency in Kasia's Shop.

Shop priority:

  1. Mithril — rarest and most valuable material in the game
  2. Fire Crystals — if you're at or near Furnace 30 and chasing power milestones
  3. Design Plans and Charm Guides — best for free-to-play and early accounts, since they boost stats without needing high-tier gear unlocked
  4. Speedups — useful for SvS and Strongest Chief, but less long-term stat value than materials

Wishful Emporium

A customizable pack tied to the end of the State of Power cycle, live for roughly 24 hours. Three selection slots — and you can pick the same material in all three, so concentrate on your single bottleneck rather than diversifying. Quantities scale with server progression, so check your own panel rather than any table.

Mia's Fortune Hut

The common advice — open 5 or 6 orbs then reset — is wrong. Odds aren't flat: roughly 1.8% on the first orb, 3.9% second, 6.4% third, ~13% by the fifth, ~25% by the sixth, reaching 100% only at the tenth. Resetting early bails out right before the odds turn. A full round can cost up to 95 tokens, so don't start one you can't finish. Tokens carry over between events.

Set Fire Crystals as your Wish Reward once you're in the Fire Crystal age. Skip Gems unless you specifically want Lucky Wheel spins.

Treasure Hunter

Good value on the free side — daily missions give pickaxes, and every tile returns something even before the Ultimate Treasure appears. Pick the Ultimate Treasure that matches your actual bottleneck, and you can change the selection any time before you find it. Budget for the maximum search count: a standard floor can take 14 searches, a Supreme Chamber up to 22 for roughly double the reward — check the ratio before committing.
